Natalie Rymer

Natalie Rymer trained as an Artist at Wimbledon School of Art in London studying a degree in Fine Art and Painting. She lives with her husband and two children on the borders of Kent and Susseand also has a home in the picturesque town of Chianni, Tuscany, Italy.

Natalie delights in painting distinctive landscapes that capture the tranquillity and beauty of both the English countryside and the stunning Tuscan landscape. Her work, seen as blocks of colour, patterns, and shapes, is inspired by the natural world, with her imaginative use of a warm, rich palette and various painting techniques to develop unique surface textures.

Her strong instinct for innovative design and composition invites the viewer to take a second look at scenes and subjects that may initially seem ordinary or familiar. Natalie’s artwork is spontaneous, with recent pieces using acrylic paints on canvas. It is her vivid imagination that engages and captures the heart of the viewer.

Natalie also works with watercolour, creating fresh, lively paintings with an illustrative feel. Her influences are evident in her work and include Matisse, Mary Fedden, Patrick Heron, and Howard Hodgkin, as well as her parents, both of whom are artists. She regularly exhibits her work at a gallery in Anghiari, Tuscany, where the stunning landscape continues to inspire her artistic journey.
